U Need Design Studio Shipping Policy: A Promise and Guide to the Journey

Dear Valued Customers, At U Need Design Studio, we view each piece of jewelry as a precious carrier of your story. “We do what you need, creating a unique memory with you.” From initial conception to the moment it reaches your hands, this journey requires the utmost care. This policy aims to transparently explain our shipping details, commitments, and terms to ensure that every piece of memory arrives safely.

I. Our Shipping Commitment & Process

  • Order Processing: Upon receiving your order and confirming payment, we will initiate the order processing within 2-4 business days. To ensure you receive our creations in pristine condition, some items will be fulfilled and shipped directly from our premium partner studios (e.g., Shenzhen fulfillment center). We coordinate the entire process to ensure that every piece of natural mother-of-pearl, pearl, and gemstone meets the mid-to-high-end standards of U Need Design Studio.

  • Packaging Philosophy: Every piece is meticulously wrapped using high-specification shockproof and scratch-resistant jewelry protection materials, enclosed in our signature premium branded gift box. We intend the unboxing experience itself to be a joyful, elegant, and ritualistic moment.

  • Shipping Notification & Tracking: Once your order departs, a "Shipping Confirmation Notice" containing your tracking number and a live tracking link will be sent to your registered email address.

  • Formation of Purchase Contract: This notification signifies our formal acceptance of your order, and the legally binding purchase contract becomes effective at this exact moment.

II. Shipping Options, Timeframes, & Global Fees

All international orders are dispatched via our premium international express / air cargo lines. Once the parcel arrives in the destination country, the final mile delivery will be completed by premium local postal services or leading courier companies. All shipping timeframes are estimates based on business days after dispatch (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Zone A: Asia-Pacific Regions (Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, etc.)

  • Estimated Delivery Time: 2-5 business days (2-4 business days for Hong Kong and Macau).

  • Shipping Fees: * FREE shipping on single orders with a subtotal of HKD $800 or above (or local currency equivalent in checkout).

    • For orders below the threshold, a flat rate of HKD $40 will be charged for Hong Kong and Macau; for other Asian countries, international express shipping rates will be calculated automatically at checkout.

  • Customs Duties & Taxes for Asia (🇸🇬 Singapore Special Clause):

    • 【🇸🇬 Singapore Market — DDP Tax-Inclusive Commitment】: For all orders shipped to Singapore, our studio will fully prepay the Goods and Services Tax (GST) required by Singapore customs. The parcel will be released immediately upon arrival, and you will encounter zero hidden fees or secondary taxation upon delivery.

    • 【🌍 Other Asia-Pacific Countries & Regions — DDU Tax-Unpaid】: Except for Singapore, all other Asian destinations (such as Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, etc.) are shipped under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) terms. Most cross-border e-commerce small parcels enjoy local custom de minimis tax exemptions; however, in the rare event of random customs inspections, any applicable local import duties or taxes remain the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Zone B: Western Regions (Australia, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, European Countries, etc.)

  • Estimated Delivery Time: 5-10 business days (depending on the destination).

  • Shipping Fees: * FREE premium air shipping on single orders with a subtotal of USD $200 or above (or local currency equivalent in checkout).

    • For orders below the free shipping threshold, the international shipping fee will be calculated automatically by the system at checkout.

  • Customs Duties & Taxes for Western Regions (DDU Tax-Unpaid):

    • All shipments to Western regions are strictly dispatched under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) terms. Retail prices and checkout totals exclude local import duties, VAT, or local consumption taxes (such as Australia GST, European VAT, etc.). As the importer of record, you must comply with local customs clearance regulations and entirely bear all import duties and related taxes levied by your destination country.

📌 Logistics Delay Disclaimer: Actual delivery times may be extended due to force majeure factors, including global logistics peak seasons, extreme weather, airline capacity, or routine customs clearance delays. Our studio shall not be held legally liable for third-party courier delays.

III. Shipping Risks, Ownership, & Liability

  • Transfer of Risk and Ownership: Title to the product passes to you upon our receipt of your full payment; the risk of loss or damage transfers to you once the product is handed over to the carrier (such as SF Express or international air cargo lines).

  • Scope of Liability & Support Commitment: We ensure all creations are flawless before leaving our studio. Once delivered to the carrier, risks of delay, damage, or loss transfer to you, and our studio does not bear direct legal liability for compensation. However, knowing how much each piece of jewelry means to you, we promise to give 100% effort to assist you in resolving any shipping anomalies.

  • International Customs Liability: For international shipments, our studio is not directly responsible for destination customs clearance procedures, delays, detentions, or returns.

  • Solutions for Logistics Anomalies: Please first contact the local courier using the tracking number provided. If the tracking status remains abnormal for more than 10 business days, contact us via official email or WhatsApp. We will take the initiative to launch an official inquiry with the carrier. Once a parcel is officially confirmed as lost by the carrier, we will prioritize arranging a free replacement or converting it into store credit according to our Return & Exchange Policy.

IV. Delivery Address & Recipient Responsibility

  • Address Accuracy: Please ensure that the shipping address provided (including English details, apartment/suite numbers, postal codes, and phone numbers) is absolutely accurate. Any parcel returns, losses, or disposals resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses, failure to locate the recipient, or the recipient's refusal to cooperate with local customs declarations or real-name authentication (such as the EZ WAY authentication in Taiwan) will result in the buyer bearing full responsibility for shipping losses, customs fines, and redelivery costs.

  • Delivery Notice: We highly recommend signing for the parcel in person. Delivery to a property management office, front desk, or a designated representative constitutes successful delivery. Please inspect the outer packaging before signing. If it is severely damaged, compressed, or soaked, please take photos immediately for evidence and consider rejecting the parcel.

V. Special Reminders for International Customers

We endlessly cherish the trust of our distant customers. To ensure a smooth journey of delivery:

  1. Cooperate with Customs: In rare instances where local customs or postal services issue a verification notice, please cooperate promptly to avoid additional courier storage fees.

  2. Valid Contact Information: Please provide a valid phone number and email address at checkout so that logistics companies can reach you instantly at critical delivery moments.

VI. Policy Amendments

We reserve the right to update this shipping policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page. Policy modifications will not affect orders that have already been confirmed for shipment prior to the change.
